MAD FOR PLAID//COLOR BLOCKING//CURVACEOUS EMBRACE

sick of the same ol' blooms & blossoms as spring's go-to print? kick it up a notch & channel a Scotch, a la Jessica and Jane (of seasofshoes). a print that can clothe Kurt Cobain & Alexander McQueen is good in my book. 

i'm not much of a colorful wardrobe type person, although i know that i can't just wear black and grey everyday... SO i'm really loving the marni wedges on Sharne Scott and MAC's latest pucker collection, appropriately called "TO THE BEACH". shoes, lips, and fingernails in bright hues will do just the trick.

and on a final note, it's been all over the blogosphere that voluptuous super model Crystal Renn was a little on the "thin" side at Chanel's latest show. says her Ford model agent, Renn "isn't trying to be thin...her size fluctuates from 10-14." this woman is gorgeous & EMBRACES her curves. 

gotta love it.

jil.sander.wedges. my eyes were dilating when i saw these babies on Susie Bubble. you lucky girl!!! it's a wonder how  shoes can make one so inconceivably happy. 
it's spring/summertime! instead of driving around, take out the old cruiser...or maybe dress up in really cute retro outfits & have a little photoshoot by the beach standing on/around the old cruiser. bruna tenorio in H&M's summer'10 catalogue.

BANG: the newest fragrance by sir marc jacobs. but this time its for the boys. and for the FIRST time ever, Mj will be facing his own product. it's about damn time this beautiful man strips down. hmm..i wonder what this will smell like. perhaps sandalwood, gardenias, and a dash of narcissism??

from WWD, in an exclusive interview w MJ, marc said: "Posing nude was business partner Robert Duffy’s idea, said Jacobs on Thursday in an exclusive interview. “Robert and I work closely with Coty on these projects, and he said, ‘Marc, you look so great now — you should be the model for men’s fragrance.’ My immediate reaction was, I don’t know. But then I came to see that it made sense. Men’s fragrance, unlike women’s in a certain way, is very personal. It’s a layer on top of skin — for women, it can be like changing a makeup color, but not for men."

did you know that my first job ever was at American Eagle during my senior year in high school? yeah. AE used to be waaay cool back in the day and i was super proud to be one of the gals in overly-layered outfits with those cool headphones walking around the store. then, we all graduated and grew up & out of that all-american trend. 

so what does AE do to revamp their look? hire supermodel Aline Weber to face the newest ad campaigns, of course! Aline, who frequents the catwalks of balenciaga, dries van noten, givenchy, stella mccartney, etc., definitely fits the profile of that all-american beachy girl.

AE, i'll always have a soft spot for you.
